One woman was hospitalized after she was stabbed during an armed robbery in a Minneapolis parking ramp early Saturday.

Minneapolis police Sgt. Catherine Michal said an aggravated robbery call came in just before 1 a.m. Saturday from Ramp B on 2nd Avenue North near Target Field.

Michal said an adult female had been walking to her vehicle with several women when she was robbed of her purse by a man with a knife.

The robbery victim was stabbed in the chest during the incident and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where on Sunday she remained in serious condition, Michal said via email.

A second female victim received a minor cut to her hand but did not require medical attention, Michal said.

The robbery suspect fled on foot, Michal said, and no one has been arrested in the incident.

The victim was not identified, and no further information was available Sunday.
