Almost a month after he disappeared, Barway was found dead in the Mississippi River.

The investigation revealed Barway was killed by his father, Pierre Collins, in 2015.

A dozen people gathered at the boy's grave site Saturday afternoon to pray and honor Barway's life.

They said they can't believe it's been two years since the disapperance.

Barway's biological mother, Louise Karluah, said she's thankful for the "community support."

"I'm feeling so emotional today, and like, it just happened from the first day," Karluah said.

Members of the Minnesota Community Policing Services organized the event. They presented Karluah and Yamah Collins, Barway's stepmother, with framed photos of the boy.
