The Chisago County Sheriff's Office said crews recovered an unoccupied vehicle from the St. Croix River in Taylors Falls Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Kyle Puelston said authorities believe the car was dumped into the river intentionally.

He said the sheriff's office received calls from people visiting Interstate State Park who saw part of the car above the water. After a tow truck arrived at the scene to recover the vehicle, Puelston said there were no concerns that anyone had been inside.

The sheriff's office asks anyone with information to call 651-312-6378.
