2 Injured in Vehicle vs Pedestrian Collision in Wright County

Two people were injured Thursday in a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in Waverly, one of them suffering a life-threatening injury, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m. at Highway 12 and Elder Avenue in Waverly.

State Patrol said a vehicle traveling westbound stopped to allow two pedestrians cross in a marked crosswalk, when a Chevy Silverado pass the vehicle in the right turn lane and struck the two pedestrians.

The two pedestrians were identified as Jane Christine Krueger and Roy Michael Krueger. Jane Krueger suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. Roy Krueger suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
