2 Injured in South Minneapolis Double Shooting

Two people were injured in a double shooting in south Minneapolis Tuesday night, according to Cory Schmidt, a public information officer with the Minneapolis Police Department.

Schmidt said officers responded to the 4300 block of 4th Avenue South at about 9 p.m. on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a man with multiple gunshot woulds.

The male victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with critical injuries, according to Schmidt.

Police located a female victim a few blocks away. The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the arm. She is expected to be OK.

Police said they believe one shooter is responsible for both incidents. Police have yet to locate a suspect.
