2 Found Dead in Vehicle in Coon Rapids

Coon Rapids police say two people were found dead in a car outside a Buffalo Wild Wings Thursday afternoon.

The department said it received a call around 3:38 p.m. reporting two people possibly passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot at 3395 River Rapids Drive Northwest. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an SUV running and a 22-year-old male from Ham Lake and 20-year-old female from Andover dead inside.

Police said there were no signs of foul play or drug use in the car and that standard procedure is to search the car and perform toxicology reports on the two deceased.

But police said there is no danger to the public.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Department and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the matter.
