The first trials for a group of people arrested for protesting on Interstate 94 began Tuesday morning.
The protest happened last year in the days following the police shooting death of Philando Castile.
Three people were scheduled to be in court Tuesday. All face misdemeanor charges.
They were expected to speak at a rally and news conference, along with supporters outside the courthouse, at 8 a.m.
