Theresa joined 5 Eyewitness News in January 2017. Previously she was the National News Editor at LAKANA. Her prior work experience includes Twin Cities Medical magazines Editor, BringMeTheNews Radio Script Writer; Interim Managing Editor at Sun Patriot Group; Community Editor at The Laker and Dakota County Tribune; and she was the youngest director of TommieMedia.com
 
Theresa graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2013 with a Communication and Journalism degree and a minor in American Culture and Difference Studies. She is currently a graduate student at St. Thomas pursuing M.A. in English with emphasis in literary journalism.
 
Theresa is a SPJ member. She has won numerous awards including the ECM Newspapers Community Leadership Award for reporting on domestic violence series; ECM Newspapers In-Depth Reporting Award for coverage on state fire department issues; Better Newspaper Contest Award for Feature Photo; Outstanding Senior St. Thomas; SPJ Mark of Excellence National Finalist for Online News Reporting; Pauline Lambert Advocacy Award for sex assault reporting; and Minnesota Newspaper Better Newspaper Association Contest FOIA Award.
 
In her spare time, Theresa is a farmers' market enthusiast! She loves to cook, bake, read, and volunteer at ThreeSixty Journalism. She also enjoys spending time with her family which includes five younger siblings.
