Former contestant on “The Voice” and local artist Nicholas David played a pop-up concert Thursday afternoon outside the Minneapolis Central Library.

David performed on an outdoor piano on Nicollet Mall as a part of the Pianos on Parade program, which features 25 painted pianos scattered throughout downtown.

The Pianos on Parade performance took place before David’s Friday concert with The Feelin Band at the Amsterdam Bar and Hall Friday. A portion of the show’s funds will go toward a local nonprofit group, Keys 4/4 Kids, which encourages local youth to join the arts.
