The principal of a Lakeville middle school has been placed on paid administrative leave after allegations of an unknown nature were made against him.

Lakeville Area Public Schools Superintendent Michael Baumann confirmed that Century Middle School Principal Chris Endicott has been placed on leave.

Baumann said the Apple Valley Police Department is investigating the allegations. He did not say what the allegations were. According to the district's website, Endicott is a resident of Apple Valley.

An email was sent to Lakeville Area Public School employees Friday informing them Endicott was on leave.

Baumann said the investigation was initiated by the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District.

The Apple Valley Police Department did not release any more information at this time as the case is still under investigation.
