Former radio host Jeff Dubay faces year in jail

ATTORNEY: KFAN host to have drug charges dismissed

KFAN host arrested for drug possession

KFAN host charged with cocaine possession

 KFAN host Jeff Dubay fired

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A former sports-talk radio host faces jail time after failing to finish two substance abuse programs and testing positive for cocaine.

Forty-one-year-old Jeff Dubay of Plymouth will be sentenced July 21 for felony fifth-degree drug possession. Sentencing guidelines call for a year in jail.

Dubay was a morning-show host at KFAN-AM, but was fired after he was charged in mid-October.

He was sent to a yearlong diversion program and could've had the charge dismissed, but he flunked out of the program. He got a second chance in Substance Abuse Court in March, but was disqualified after testing positive for cocaine 12 times. He also failed to report for 11 drug tests since January.

Dubay's attorney did not immediately return a phone message Tuesday.
