The suspect who barricaded himself inside a Roseville home Thursday afternoon is now in custody.

Police say 33-year-old Geoffrey Adam McCloskey barricaded himself inside the home at 2147 Rice Street after authorities tried serving a warrant around 12:30 p.m. He was wanted on warrants in both Ramsey and Hennepin counties. Both counties wanted McCloskey arrested for charges related to fleeing a police officer.

Roseville Police Chief Rick Mathwig says SWAT officers surrounded the home and tried to get McCloskey to turn himself in. Officers attempted to get him to surrender peacefully but received no response.

Around 4:30 p.m. authorities say McCloskey tried to escape from the house through the open garage door and charged at officers outside. Authorities shot McCloskey with a rubber bullet and took him to Regions Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say he will be transferred to the Ramsey County Law Enforcement Center once he's recovered from his injuries.
