Charges have been filed in the shooting death of a man in North Minneapolis back in June.
Twenty-one-year-old Trevante Williams was charged Tuesday with multiple felonies for his role in the shooting that happening on the 4900 block of Camden Avenue North on June 21, according to the Hennepin County Attorney's office.
Around 1 a.m. officers responded to a report of multiple shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Center by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the suspect left the scene before officers arrived. Later that day, the victim died from those injuries.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, 19-year-old Jaylin Davis, of Brooklyn Center, died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Williams is not in custody at the time.
