A man suspected of killing a Boston Scientific executive at an Arden Hills gas station last month may have robbed a bank in Blaine over the weekend, according to police.
The robbery took place at the TCF Bank at 331 County Road 10 Northeast just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
A man wearing a white T-shirt, baseball hat and sunglasses displayed a handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Police say video footage of the incident shows the suspect matches the description of Lyle Marvin "Ty" Hoffman.
The man is considered to be armed and dangerous. He may still be in the area and should not be approached.
Authorities searched the Anoka County-Blaine Airport on Monday to ensure Hoffman wasn't there.
Hoffman is accused of killing 48-year-old Kelly Phillips. They drove to an Arden Hills gas station Aug. 11, and Phillips was shot in the head and back as he tried to run from the gunman.
Hoffman hasn't been seen since. Prosecutors have charged him with second-degree murder and issued a national warrant for his arrest.
