It’s the end of an era Thursday night for the popular St. Paul Midway Stadium. The Saints play their last ever game there and planned to go out in style.

Since 1993, the Saints have called Midway Stadium home, but now they're packing up and getting ready to move into their new stadium. It is set to open next spring.

Fans can expect a big production: a fireworks show, a monster truck rally and thirsty Thursday specials. Actor Bill Murray was also among the crowd.

Before the game starts, the St. Paul Port Authority will outline its plans to redevelop the stadium into 200,000 square feet of industrial space.

Right now, construction is underway on the Lowertown Ballpark in St. Paul, which is where the minor league team will play starting next baseball season.

The $63-million project will have 7,000 seats, which are slightly below street level.

Thursday marked the final game at Midway Stadium.
