The Anoka Hennepin School District has provided principals with a fact sheet to be used when responding to any calls from parents concerned about Ebola.

The Twin Cities has a large Liberian population, and some parents have called the district with concerns over disease.

Cynthia Hiltz, the Health Services Coordinator for the Anoka Hennepin School District, says the medical facts speak for themselves.

"I think one of the most important things for people to remember is this is not an airborne disease. If you're going to get sick from it, there is a chain of infection so the person, in this case would already be showing symptoms of being ill and would be pretty obvious they were sick," Hiltz said.

Hiltz says the district is in touch with the Minnesota Department of Health, "It's very fluid, things are changing. But right now we have no cases in United States. You can't catch the disease if you're not around someone's body fluids who is ill. So virtually it's impossible right now to get that in Minnesota by going to school."
