Some people pick their days at the Minnesota State Fair based on the weather, others on their work or school schedules. However, a lot of fair goers want to avoid the longest lines.

Most agree morning is best.

"Everything is clean and fresh and neat," said Chuck Donley of Wayzata.

Brienna Schuette, spokesperson for the Minnesota State Fair, says mornings up until 10 a.m. are the quietest times of day.

"It's a great time to get breakfast and watch the fair come to life," she said.

According to past attendance records, the crowds of Tuesdays and Wednesdays tend to be thinner.

One final tip: come to the fair on a rainy day, the lines are guaranteed to be shorter.
