Dr. Alfredmy Chessor runs a private medical clinic in Liberia, but she has strong ties to Minnesota after working at the Park Nicollet Clinic in Brooklyn Center for three years. She has returned to Minnesota to ask for desperately-needed supplies to help battle the Ebola outbreak back in Liberia.

Dr. Chessor says the suits worn by medical personal known as personal protective equipment, or PPE's, are in short supply and at the top of her wish list. "Personal protective equipment is what's really need it but in addition to that we need food items." She says isolating the sick can sideline breadwinners, and families are not getting fed.

Dr. Chessor says she's returned to Minnesota to reach out for help, "I would expect Minnesotans as true Minnesotan is due to rise up to the challenge, provide some of the medical equipment provide some of the food items that we have requested tonight. We need bedding, we need mattresses we need bed covers, so, things like that I would expect Minnesotans as true Minnesotans do to rise up to the challenge."
