A bad boy of rock and roll was in town Monday night for a good cause.
Gene Simmons of the group KISS attended a fundraiser in St. Paul for the St. Louis Park non-profit Matter.
Simmons’ daughter built a center for abused children in Canada; Matter gives medical supplies to the center.
"You have to give back," Simmons said. "We've been very fortunate America has given us everything we could ever dream about, and you've got to give back."
Kiss performed at Target Center on Sunday night.
Simmons made headlines in an interview recently; after the suicide of Robin Williams, Simmons said "all depressed people should kill themselves."
Simmons later apologized for his comments.
