Southbound Highway 52 at Plato Boulevard in St. Paul has reopened as of 2:30 p.m. Monday more than two hours after a semi overturned, losing its load.
The accident happened at 11:50 a.m., when a semi trailer tipped on its side on the right shoulder and its load of recycling debris spilled out, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
At one point, the road was closed completely, but authorities reopened one lane shortly after closing the highway, MnDOT says.
The condition of the driver is not known at this time.
