Driver Hits, Kills 6-Year-Old Boy Crossing Street on Bike in Duluth

A 6-year-old Duluth boy died after he was hit by a van while crossing the street on his bicycle Saturday afternoon.

KSTP's sister station WDIO reports the collision occurred at 3:43 p.m. on the 400 block of Clark Court in Duluth.

A 45-year-old Duluth woman was driving a van when she ran into the boy, according to Duluth Police. The woman driving the van told police she did not see the boy until after she hit him.

Police say she had no signs of impairment.

The 6-year-old was brought to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation.
