All evidence used during the trial of a woman accused of second degree murder in a deadly dispute with her neighbors, could be sealed if a judge approves the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office request.

The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office filed a joint motion to seal the evidence Friday, along with the defense attorney for Neal Zumberge. Neal’s wife Paula Zumberge is on trial for second degree murder. The trial is in recess, and a judge is expected to make a decision sometime next week.

Paula Zumberge is charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree attempted murder. Her husband, 57-year-old Neal Zumberge, is charged in the shooting death of 46-year-old Todd Stevens and charged with wounding Stevens’ girlfriend, 48-year-old Jennifer Cleven, in May.

Neal’s trial is scheduled for Nov. 10 at 9 a.m. Authorities argue if the evidence in Paula’s trial is released to the public; it would make it difficult to select a fair and unbiased jury panel for Neal’s trial.
