Next week the only elevator at Heights Manor in Columbia Heights will be shut down for nearly a month. The move has some living there feeling stranded.

Some residents say management hasn't given any answers about how people who can't use the stairs will get around without a working elevator.

The property owner, Nationwide Housing Corporation said they're working with residents to make accommodations during the elevator repairs, which could include moving them to a hotel.

Management also hopes to get the elevator working a few hours a day during the repair job.
