A Lakeville teenager, who has Down syndrome, lived out his dream at Target Field Tuesday night.
Fifteen-year-old Matthew Haas, took a special tour of Target Field and received custom jerseys for his entire family. He also got to hang out with the Twins during batting practice, and he now has a baseball with a few autographs.
Matthew received the MVP treatment thanks to the Sons of Baseball Foundation. The charity takes disabled children or children battling life-threatening medical conditions to see their favorite baseball teams across the country.
Kristine Haas, Mattew’s mom, says not only is it a great event, but it's a great opportunity for him.
"This is very special he'll put it on his Instagram and will be looked at as a cool kid," she said.
To top off his special day, Matthew got to bring the ball out onto the field before the start of Tuesday’s game.
