Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Stoplight Pole in Fridley

A 37-year-old Fridley man was killed in a motorcycle crash overnight.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened on the eastbound Interstate 694 ramp to East River Road in Fridley around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

When officers arrived, they found the man dead and a motorcycle in a nearby ditch. Police say the man was apparently going northbound on East River Road and collided with a stoplight pole at the intersection.

Police are still investigating how the crash happened.

The man has not yet been identified.
