There are a few new construction projects popping up around the metro this week, impacting Interstates 94 and 35W, along with Highway 65.

The Corridors of Commerce project is underway on Interstate 94 from Rogers to St. Michael. Expect off-peak lane restrictions until Aug. 11.

In Fridley and Spring Lake Park, a couple of intersections are closing along Highway 65.

  • Wednesday morning, the intersection of Hwy. 65 northbound and 73rd Avenue will close.
  • On Thursday morning, the intersection of Hwy. 65 northbound and 81st Avenue will close.

Both intersections are scheduled to reopen by midnight on Thursday, Aug. 21.

Watch out for a couple of ramp closures along Interstate 35W in Minneapolis this week. The ramps from University Avenue and Fourth Street to I-35W Northbound will close Aug. 6 through Aug. 27.

There will be additional ramp closures in the area in September.

Many drivers in Inver Grove Heights are anxiously awaiting the end of the roadwork on Highway 55 westbound. It’s been causing major delays on Highway 52 for weeks. The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the lane restrictions should lift by the middle of this week.
