Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, marks the seventh year since the catastrophic Interstate 35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis.
The structure fell into the Mississippi River during rush hour on this day in 2007, killing 13 people and injuring 145 more.
Friday night, the public was invited to take part in a moment of silence to remember those victims. The gathering was at the bridge memorial site next to Gold Medal Park at 6:05 p.m., which is the time the bridge fell.
