Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a transmission line construction accident in south-central Minnesota on Monday.
The Renville County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Brett Binman of North St. Paul was killed and 24-year-old Joshua Roberts of Osseo, Wisconsin, is still hospitalized at Hennepin County Medical Center.
The Renville County sheriff's office says the two men were reported shocked Monday along the CapX2020 power line construction site near Fairfax. They were both flown to trauma centers in the Twin Cities.
CapX2020 project spokeswoman Lori Buffington says the two worked for Donovan Construction of Ham Lake. A Donovan Construction spokesman says Roberts is being treated in the HCMC burn unit.
The 250-mile line will run from South Dakota to Hampton, Minnesota.
Minnesota OSHA and the Renville County sheriff's office are investigating.
