An Inver Grove Heights man was recently indicted for selling counterfeit sports jerseys.
Forty-five-year-old Brian Todd Gore is accused of trafficking counterfeit jerseys imported from China from November 2009 to September 2012. Prosecutors say he ordered the jerseys from suppliers in China and then conspired with others, knowing they would be sold to the public.
The indictment alleges that a co-conspirator had hundreds of counterfeit sportswear items in a store in Roseville, some of which were purchased from Gore. Gore is also accused of traveling to Miami for the 2010 NFL Super Bowl to sell the fake jerseys.
If convicted, Gore faces up to 10 years in prison and up to $2 million in fines.
