It's finally game day!

The 85th MLB All-Star Game is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Twins' catcher Kurt Suzuki and pitcher Glen Perkins will represent the American League. There will be a Red Carpet Show along Nicollet Mall ahead of the game at 1 p.m., which is free and open to the public.

FanFest also opened Friday at the Minneapolis Convention Center. It's a massive interactive baseball theme park featuring a clubhouse, dugout, diamond and demo zones. Fans can experience what it's like to be a Major League Baseball player and even meet past and present baseball legends. FanFest will be open through the night of the All-Star Game. Tickets are available now. See a map of FanFest here.

These All-Star events will cause some traffic headaches and detours around Minneapolis. Here are some of the closures to watch out for:

Other All-Star Events

Monday was the day to watch some favorite baseball players, including the Twins' Brian Dozier, participate in the Gillette Home Run Derby. Target Field gates open at 4ed p.m., and it started at 7 p.m.

The musical group Imagine Dragons, along with Atmosphere, rocked TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday during the free All-Star Concert. All of the free tickets had been claimed for the event well in advance.

Target Field was packed with thousands of runners covered in colored powder Sunday, July 13, for the Color Run MLB All-Star 5K. The first races started at 8:30 a.m. After the Color Run, there was a big Summer Pepsi Block Party on Sixth Street at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

As part of the All-Star FanFest activities, the Twins are introducing the first mobile eye clinic in the region, called the Kirby Puckett Eye Mobile. The clinic is named after the legendary Twins slugger, who suffered from glaucoma in his final years. The clinic has two fully-equipped exam rooms on board and is described as an eye doctor’s office on wheels. It’s owned and operated by Phillips Eye Institution, which is part of Allina Health.

Target Field grounds crew groom the field Friday, July 11, 2014, as preparation continues for Major League Baseball's All Star festivities beginning Sunday and culminating with the All Star game on Tuesday in Minneapolis.
