The former Minnesota State, Mankato, football player who was injured in a fight is now walking up to 200 feet a day.
The Mankato Free Press reports Isaac Kolstad has also snapped his fingers, and can complete small tasks by himself - such as removing his own socks.
Kolstad is currently in an inpatient rehabilitation program in the Twin Cities. The updates were posted to the Caring Bridge website by Isaac's wife, Molly Kolstad.
She wrote that the family is celebrating the little things, and knows that Kolstad is coming around.
The 24-year-old Kolstad was injured in a fight near a downtown bar May 11. His injuries included a traumatic brain injury.
Former University of Minnesota quarterback Philip Nelson and St. Peter resident Trevor Shelley have been charged with assault.
