The annual Taste of Minnesota kicks off Thursday in a new location.
Organizers of the popular food, drink and music event in the Twin Cities relocated to the Carver County Fairgrounds in Waconia after their original spot on Harriet Island was flooded out.
The Taste of Minnesota is a showcase event that typically draws hundreds of thousands of people. Highlights include music, fireworks, a midway, exhibits and plenty of food and drinks.
Waconia Mayor Jim Nash said all hands are on deck to make sure the city is prepared for parking, traffic, and public safety. They also have crews making sure the grounds themselves are all set to go.
The event runs July 3-6. Find more information at atasteofmn.com.
