Police say a speeding car lost control and slammed into a business in Minneapolis overnight.
Witnesses called police around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday saying a car was speeding down Washington Avenue. When police arrived, they found that the car had lost control near Second Avenue North and had slammed into an imported car service and parts business, making a large hole in the building.
The car then reportedly continued down the sidewalk and crashed into Chanticlear Pizza. Police say the business was closed for the night and that no one was injured.
The driver fled the scene.
Officials with the Minneapolis Police Crime Lab found a gun on the sidewalk next to the vehicle and are processing the scene. The incident is still under investigation by the Minneapolis Police Department.
