9-Year-Old Boy Missing in Western Wis. Found Safe

Authorities say a missing 9-year-old boy in western Wisconsin has been found and is safe.

According to the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, Grant John Lindahl was last seen around 9 a.m. Monday near his home in Star Prairie Township.

Grant was found around 4 p.m. by a neighbor and sheriff's investigator when he walked out of the woods about 1/4 of a mile away from his home.

He had some scratches and bug bites, but was in good condition, according to the sheriff's office. He was evaluated by New Richmond EMS.

The sheriff’s office, along with New Richmond fire/rescue and Wisconsin DNR wardens searched the area.
