President Barack Obama's "day in the life" venture into Minnesota has exposed him to a local staple: a Jucy Lucy burger.
Before a town hall event Thursday, Obama stopped for the cheese-stuffed burger at Matt's Bar with a woman from the Minneapolis area who wrote him a letter about struggling to make ends meet after paying the mortgage, student loans and day care bills.
We talked with Obama's server, Libia Vasquez Webster, who said she was a little nervous taking the president's order. She said he had a Jucy Lucy with fried onion and french fries.
She also instructed President Obama on how to eat the burger, so he wouldn't burn himself.
Webster said the commander in chief was the easiest person to wait on, and he didn't give her any trouble. She said she did help him open an iced tea.
Employees say he seemed to enjoy his burger and he tipped the wait staff well.
The visit came on a bittersweet day for the staff at Matt's Bar. Founder, Matt Bristol, died Thursday morning, after battling Parkinson's.
He's known for creating the Jucy Lucy 60 years ago. He was 89 years old.
