The man who died after a fight in North Minneapolis, which turned into a shooting Monday, has been identified.
According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Officer, 37-year-old Steven Martin, of Minneapolis, died from a gunshot wound of the neck at North Memorial Medical Center less than an hour after the shooting.
Minneapolis police were called to the 3300 block of Penn Avenue North around 11 p.m. Monday on a report of a fight. When they arrived, police say the fight had turned into a shooting.
This is the 14th homicide in the city of Minneapolis this year.
Officers used K-9s to search for suspects, but no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police.
