Crews are continuing to monitor the mudslide behind the University of Minnesota Medical Center’s West Bank, which happened on Thursday.

On Saturday, debris from the mudslide was removed and a geotextile fabric was installed on the hill, which will redirect rainwater and prevent further erosion, officials said.

The barrier was checked after the Sunday midday rains and it is holding as expected, according to the hospital.

At this time, there are no safety concerns related to this situation, officials said.
