Thousands showed up Saturday to get a taste of Spain's Running of the Bulls.

Around 4,500 people came out to watch runners sprint a quarter of a mile with live bulls at Elk River Extreme Motor Park.

Runners could jump over fences to escape along the course if needed. Organizers say no one suffered any serious injuries in Elk River.

The company, The Great Bull Run, held its first ever event in the United States last year in September. Now there are events held in cities nationwide.

Canterbury Park was considering bringing a similar bull run to Minnesota late last year. They decided against it after a bull broke loose at a rodeo event in Dakota County and injured nine people.

Along with the bull run, organizers held the "Tomato Royale," which is basically a giant food fight.
