A 30-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Brainerd Monday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the broadside crash happened at the intersection of Highway 210 and Third Street Northwest at 2:39 p.m. The state patrol says a Chevy Blazer was heading west on the highway and making a left turn.
At the same time, John Helstrom of Brainerd was traveling east on the highway on a motorcycle.
Helstrom collided with the side of the Chevy, the state patrol says. He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died around 5 p.m. The state patrol says he was not wearing a helmet.
David Dale of Hillman, Minnesota, was driving the Chevy, the state patrol says. The 56-year-old didn't have any apparent injuries.
This marks the sixth motorcyclist killed on Minnesota roads since May 29, when a couple was killed in a crash near Cambridge.
