A 4-year-old has been hospitalized in critical condition after falling from a second-story window at a home in Waconia over the weekend.
The Carver County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 1300 block of Creek Side Circle around 12:20 p.m. Sunday.
When they arrived they found the young boy, identified as Quinn Ruhl Larson, unresponsive but breathing. He had a large bump on his forehead and was transported to Ridgeview Hospital and then to Hennepin County Medical Center.
During the investigation, deputies learned Larson’s family recently moved to the home and was upstairs assembling furniture at the time of the incident. They said the boy was likely climbing on the sofa and pressing against the window when the screen gave way and he fell to the concrete patio below.
A neighbor heard the accident and called for help.
According to hospital officials, Larson was still in critical condition Monday afternoon.
The sheriff's office announced they concluded their investigation into the incident Monday. It has been officially ruled as an accident.
