The cross streets of 50th and France will be even more jam-packed than usual this weekend but for good reason; the 48th annual Edina Art Fair is open through this Sunday.
The annual art adventure expects a total crowd of 165,000 over the weekend.
About 300 artists will be showcasing a wide variety of work; from ceramics and jewelry to woodcarvings and photography, there’s bound to be something for just about everyone.
For any parents out there who are hoping to make it a family affair, rest assured that the Kid Zone is back, packed with hands-on activities for children and an oasis of shade for parents to recharge their batteries.
And if you decide to drop some cash for a commemorative shirt, know that it’s all for a good cause -- 100 percent of merchandise sales will benefit the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota.
The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
A parking word to the wise -- a free shuttle bus services will be set up at the Southdale Shopping Center, helping you to spend less time parking and more time perusing.
