Do you get free coffee at work? Or maybe it’s free snacks?

There are lots of ways some of us get perks at work.

Now one city may be cracking down on some of those benefits.

A few months ago a Scandia city worker used a city plow to clear snow from a driveway without permission.

The town in Washington County is considering a policy to define and limit what facilities and equipment city employees can use.

"Whether it's impact to those taxpayers who may think it's not an inappropriate use or it's an employee who thinks that this is one of the perks or fringes of their job and so it's difficult anytime you’re going to upset somebody," said Scandia City Administrator Kristina Handt.

The Scandia City Council will discuss this issue on Wednesday; it's unclear if they'll take any action on the policy.
