Another city is fighting the proposed Southwest Light Rail Line.
People who live in the Claremont Apartments in Minnetonka were expected to present an alternative route to the city council Monday night.
The current proposed route goes right behind the complex. The group says it would run within 100 feet of their homes and disrupt the walking, running and biking trail.
More than 75 people signed a petition for that alternate route that would run about 800 feet in front of the building.
This is part of the municipal consent process. All five cities the train would run through have to approve the process this summer.
The Minnetonka City Council scheduled a vote for consent on June 23.
