A 2-year-old boy who went missing from his home in Chisago County on Friday was found in a barn near the family's property.

Hunter Landon was reported missing to authorities by his parents at 11:05 a.m. near Rush City. Authorities said his parents went to check on him and discovered he was gone.

They called police 20 minutes later, authorities said. A search was launched, with rescuers checking a square mile around Hunter's home.

He was found around 1:40 p.m. inside a barn northeast of his home, authorities said. Hunter had his dog by his side when he was discovered.

KSTP chopper video showed Hunter being reunited with his parents and checked by first responders.

The sheriff's K-9 unit, the Braham and Rush City Fire Departments and the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter assisted in the search. Around 25 people were looking for Hunter.

Rush City is about an hour northeast of the Twin Cities.
