The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's investigation into a deadly highway shootout in Eden Prairie is now complete and in the hands of the Hennepin County Attorney.
Dawn Pfister and Matthew Serbus were shot by police in February after a car chase on Highway 212.
Four law enforcement officers were involved: two were from Chaska, one was from Carver County, and one from the Minnesota State Patrol. That’s why the BCA handled the investigation.
No further details were released.
With all officer-involved shooting death cases, the investigation goes to the grand jury next.
The grand jury could take several months before reaching a conclusion.
