We're hearing from the good Samaritan who jumped from a 30-foot cliff into the St. Croix River to save an 11-year-old boy.
Ken Hawj, of St. Paul, has now had a couple days to process Sunday night's events.
The search continues for Calvin Yang's 21-year-old uncle, Tou Hu Vang. He also jumped in trying to save his nephew, but Vang never resurfaced.
Hawj says after hearing cries for help, he removed most of his clothes and leaped off a cliff. Fighting the current he swam to the boy, grabbed him by the arm and brought him safely to shore.
"I told him that 'you will be OK.' And 'don't be afraid, I'm here,'" Hawj said.
Hawj will receive a lifesaving award from the sheriff's office for his actions.
