A Brainerd woman suffered a possible broken arm after she was hit by a car Thursday, according to police.
She claims she was hit on purpose, according to Brainerd Police Chief Corky McQuiston.
McQuiston said police responded to a disturbance report at the 2000 block of Pine Street. Responders found a 31-year-old woman who said she had just been hit by a dark blue 2001 Ford Focus on purpose, McQuiston said.
Witnesses told investigators an altercation between the woman and a man happened in the street. At one point, another woman driving the Ford hit the victim and then sped off with the man, McQuiston said.
Police were unable to locate the vehicle and are still searching for the suspects, McQuiston said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Brainerd police at 218-829-2805.
The Baxter Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department, North Ambulance and Minnesota State Patrol assisted with the incident.
