Minneapolis was named Tuesday as the host city for the Super Bowl in 2018, but while the big game may not be in the suburbs, they're celebrating the news too.

Discover St. Louis Park helped with the marketing to bring the game here. Just like the Twin Cities, it says the suburbs benefit economically from a big event like the Super Bowl.

"We're in a great position, as fans come in, to really stay really close to downtown," John Basill from Discover St. Louis Park said. "So we're excited about the ability to draw fans in and to have unique events that not only the NFL will need, but other people will need coming up to the event.
