The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has lifted burning restrictions in 18 central Minnesota counties.
The DNR says it lifted the bans because of the wet conditions and blooming vegetation throughout the state.
The 18 counties are: Anoka, Benton, Chisago, Dakota, Douglas, Isanti, Hennepin, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, Pope, Ramsey, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd, Washington and Wright.
Although the state burning restrictions are lifted, local counties or municipalities may still enforce specific regulations or restrictions that affect burning, the DNR says.
Check with local authorities to get a proper permit before burning.
The DNR is able to turn off permits in counties whenever conditions call for it, as fire danger can change quickly.
