As a senior prank Tuesday morning, someone distributed a vulgar message printed on forged Prior Lake High School stationary.

Prior Lake High School Principal David Lund says the letters were brought to his attention by the school police liaison.

"After a little bit of investigation and a couple of calls from parents, we found out that the flyers were distributed in mail boxes around the community," Lund said.

He was later informed by the local postal office that carriers had discovered the flyers on their routes. "Their carriers had removed 40 to 50 of them from mailboxes," Lund said.

The fabricated flyers announced a mandatory inspection for some students in the school.

Some students think the letter is funny while others find it inappropriate.

The Savage Police Department is investigating the incident, saying it will be taken seriously and not dismissed just because it was considered to be a prank.
